Setting up your user profile

Find out how to keep your profile up to date, set your language and your notifications here

Ready to personalize your FixForm account? You can add a profile picture, complete your profile, and manage your account and notification settings—all quickly and easily!

You'll definitely need this:

  • A FixForm user account

Follow these steps:

Step 1: Complete your profile

In your profile, you can add a photo and edit your name. This personal touch helps colleagues recognize you instantly! No photo? That's fine—we'll display your initials instead.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Log in to your FixForm account and click on your initials at the bottom in the left-hand corner.
  1. Click on the pencil icon to customize your profile picture and name.
  1. Upload a photo (JPG, JPEG or PNG)—you can update it anytime!

Step 2: Manage your notifications

Stay on top of what's important with FixForm notifications. You can receive these through the FixForm platform, as mobile push notifications, or via email.

2.1. Customize your weekly emails

You'll automatically receive a "weekly digest"—a comprehensive overview of all your tasks and their status. Want to adjust this setting?

  1. Go to your profile and click on "Notifications"
  1. Turn the "weekly digest" on or off with a simple click (blue = on, gray = off)

2.2. Customize your notifications around tasks

Keep track of what matters most in FixForm by customizing your notifications. This ensures you'll only receive alerts about things that are truly relevant to you.

You have 3 types of notifications:

  • In-app notifications: alerts that appear in the notification center within the FixForm platform
  • Push notifications: alerts sent to your smartphone and/or tablet (when you have the FixForm app installed)
  • Email notifications: alerts sent directly to the email inbox associated with your FixForm account
 

You can receive notifications for these events:

  • New task: You'll get notified when someone creates a new task.
  • Task assignment: You'll get notified when someone assigns a task to you.
  • Task mentions: You'll get notified when someone mentions you (using @ + your name).
  • Task responses: You'll get notified when someone responds to a task assigned to you.

You can choose how to receive each notification type and configure settings either globally for all buildings or individually per building.

For instance, if you want email notifications only for new tasks across all buildings you manage, simply uncheck all icons except email under "all buildings" in the "New task or upvote" section.

 

Follow these steps to customize your notifications:

  1. Click on Notifications in the bottom left corner. A new window will open on the right.
  1. Click the cog icon on the right.
  1. You'll see a list of notification triggers.
  1. Click the arrow next to any trigger to view settings for "all buildings" and your individual buildings. In this example, we have two active buildings: "X" and "Y".
  1. For each trigger, you'll see three notification icons:
    1. A bell icon for in-app notifications
    2. A smartphone icon for push notifications
    3. An envelope icon for email notifications
  1. Click any icon to toggle it on (blue) or off (gray).
  1. You can manage notifications at two levels: Choose "All buildings" to apply settings across every building you manage, or
  1. Configure settings for each building individually.

Please note that each user needs to configure their notification settings individually.

Step 3: Manage your account settings (language and password)

FixForm lets you choose your preferred display language and update your password through the "Account Settings" menu.

Let's change the language first:

  1. Go to Account Settings
  1. Scroll down to "Display language"
  1. Click "Choose language" and select from our list of 27 available languages
  1. Click Save

To change your password:

  1. Go to Account Settings
  1. Select "Security"
  1. Click "change email" to update your email address
  1. Click "change password" to set a new password
  1. Click "log out" to sign out of your account
