How do I manage my notifications around tasks?

Decide when and how to get notifications around new and existing tasks.

Customize your task notifications

To maintain a clear overview of what matters to you in Fixform, you can customize your notifications. This ensures you only receive alerts about truly relevant items.

You have 3 types of notifications:

  • In-app notifications: notifications displayed in the notification center in the FixForm platform,
  • Push notifications: notifications that can only be sent on your smartphone and/or tablet (if you have the FixForm application installed).
  • Email notifications: notifications that arrive directly in your email box at the email address with which you are registered with FixForm.

You can get notifications for the following triggers:

  • New task: whenever a new task is created, you get a notification of it.
  • You are assigned to a task: when someone assigns a task to you, you get a notification.
  • You are mentioned on a task: when someone mentions you (by posting @ + your name) you get a notification.
  • There is a response to a task assigned to you: when you are assigned to a task and someone responds to it, you get a notification.
 

You can customize where you receive notifications and configure settings either globally for all buildings or individually per building.

For example, if you want to receive only email notifications about new issues across all buildings you manage, simply uncheck all icons except email under "New task or upvote".

Follow these steps to customize your notifications:

  1. Open the notification center and click the cog icon in the upper right corner
  1. View all available actions (triggers)
  1. Click the arrow to the right of any trigger to see "all buildings" and your individual building list. In this example, we have only one active building.
  1. You'll see these notification icons:
    1. Bell icon for in-app notifications
    2. Smartphone icon for push notifications
    3. Envelope icon for emails
  1. Toggle notifications by clicking the icons (blue = enabled, gray = disabled)
  1. Choose to manage notifications at either the "All buildings" level to control settings across your entire portfolio
  1. Or customize settings for each building individually

🚨 Note: Each user must configure their own notification settings.
