How do I filter data in the task overview?

As a technician, efficiently managing tasks is crucial for keeping your buildings running smoothly. You'll spend most of your time in the Tasks overview in Fixform. This guide will show you how to navigate this overview, use predefined filters, and customize your view of the Tasks overview.

(1) How to Navigate to the Task View

First, choose whether you want to view data for all buildings or one specific building. You can make this selection in the upper left corner by choosing either "All buildings" or selecting a specific building. Your choice will be remembered as you navigate through the platform.

To view the overview of the tasks, click "Tasks" in the right-hand menu of Fixform.

(2) Using Predefined Filters

Use the predefined filters at the top of the screen to quickly view specific tasks:

  • To see only tasks assigned to you, click "assigned to me"
  • To view deleted tasks, click "archived tasks"

(3) Using Custom Filters

Beyond predefined filters, you can create your own custom filters. Simply click the filter icon on the right and select "add filter".

🚨 We have added several new filters:

  • Creation Date: Filter tasks by when they were created
  • Task Type: Filter between recurring and reactive tasks
  • Labels: Filter by your custom labels

Saving a filter

You can save filters as fixed views to quickly access your most important tasks. Here's how:

  1. Select one or more filters
  1. Click "Save as" in the top right
  1. Enter a title and click "Save"
  1. The filter will appear in the top menu

Editing a saved filter

You can rename or delete a filter by:

  1. Clicking the arrow next to your saved filter
  1. Selecting rename or delete

To modify a filter's settings:

  1. Select the filter you want to customize
  1. Adjust the filter options
  1. Click "update"
  1. Your filter will save with the new settings
  1. To see all tasks again, click "all tasks"
